Amphitheather of time
Amphitheater of Time
A group project commissioned by Macevi, a concrete manufacturer with over 85 years of history. A series of themed postcards imagines the amphitheater of Rho, Milan, across different epochs of human civilisation, from ancient stone to a speculative future.
The project explores the amphitheater as a timeless symbol of human gathering, leisure, and community. Each postcard transports the structure to a different historical period, from ancient civilisations to a speculative future, inviting viewers on a journey through time while anchoring each era to the same physical space.
Research and visual analysis guided the conceptualisation of each historical period. The illustrations blend traditional hand-drawn elements with digital rendering to achieve a seamless integration of past and future. The packaging envelope, surface patterns, and postage stamps were personally designed, with the layout and print production managed end to end to ensure each element came together into a cohesive presentation.
A complete postcard collection presented in a custom envelope with original patterns and stamps, delivered as a physical object that tells its story from the outside in. The project was commissioned by Macevi as a celebration of their amphitheater in Rho, Milan, and reflects the studio’s commitment to quality and innovation in the built environment.
